Medical Director, Digital Analytics & Technology
Responsible for leading the vision, strategy development, and product roadmaps of the Digital Data & Analytics Organization. Defines market-driven products by understanding Anthem’s business key performance indicators, data aggregation, and competitive landscape to drive prioritization of product development. Collaborates with Anthem’s business leaders and clinical organizations to ensure analytics tools allow for real-time data driven decision making.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
Lead product management for the Enterprise Data & Analytics org including vision and strategy for clinical analytics tools and products with comprehensive focus on cost of care.
Align current portfolio of analytics to promote insight driven decision making at the executive/ all levels of the organization
Base all analytics activities in commercial application, serving as an advocate for internal reporting, members, providers, and other stakeholders during product development decisions
Align organizational resources to execute needed activities related to the development of analytical tools and products
Leverage clinical expertise, professional network, and internal Anthem resources to identify additional product / commercialization opportunities for Anthem analytics
Optimizes organizational decision-making using data and the development of appropriate KPI dashboards
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a leadership position productizing clinical analytics and/or using analytics to drive operational efficiencies as a P&L owner
Leader and visionary with the demonstrated ability to translate and explain complex models and health care analytics to senior management, clients, and external partners
Knowledge of using analytics in driving health plan performance and leveraging analytics to manage a P&L or experience delivering insight/analytics to support business partners
Proven experience enhancing the efficiency of an analytics function and its effect on organizational performance
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills
M.D. Board certification approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties preferred, where applicable to duties being performed, must possess an active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine or a health profession
