Title: Staff VP Portfolio Planning & Program Execution
Preferred Location: Indianapolis, Virginia Beach, and Atlanta, GA

Responsible for strategic oversight of leading, developing, and improving the Portfolio Planning & Management activities for the Government Business Division (GBD) at Anthem. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
GBD Portfolio governance committee management and oversight, strategic planning, project evaluation and prioritization, portfolio roadmaps, demand planning, performance metrics, and monitoring, project management, portfolio management process and tool development/implementation, and cross-functional resource alignment
Active coordination of cross-enterprise portfolio governance methodology and processes (ex. OTIC).
Establishing strong relationships across the GBD executive leadership team, collaborating closely with technology, sales, and operations leaders, and building strong partnerships with key organizations across the enterprise including Finance, HR, etc.
Working closely with GBD operations and technology teams to advance strategic planning efforts, improve demand management and solutioning, enable strong portfolio/program execution and increase value creation
Engaging with other enterprise portfolio oversight/governance and planning counterparts; and aligning well with enterprise portfolio governance and planning processes. Prepares and submits required materials
Identifies, develops, hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports
BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience; with significant large-scale project management, strategic planning with broad & deep understanding of the healthcare industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Ability to travel
Experience in financial management is a plus
Strong vendor management experience
Strong executive presence and communication skills are critical
Experience in leading strategic corporate development/product management in the Healthcare industry

Annual Salary Range*: $157,000 - 225,000
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
