Responsible for serving as a strategic partner for the Medicare business leaders, shared services leaders, the pharmacy organization, PBMs, CMS and state regulators. Drives and manages the pharmacy strategy for Medicare enterprise wide. Responsible for pharmacy account management for IngenioRx.
Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
Leads and develops multi-year market strategies and ensures that Pharmacy goals and objectives are aligned with the Medicare business.
Participates in and provides subject matter expertise in the annual Medicare Part D Bid development including formulary, benefit, network and cost of care considerations.
Drives organizational efficiency as well as improved cost of care and supports new membership growth.
Partners with business and network leaders to create an efficient provider network using pharmacy data, education, pharmacy reporting and analytic tools.
Manages the pharmacy aspects of provider collaboration efforts to drive network realignment.
Acts as the primary Medicare subject matter expert in the design of the PBM model to improve pricing position, financial performance, optimize control and minimize risk. Develops and leads enterprise and local/regional cost of care initiatives.
Leads multi-functional pharmacy clinical team to ensure pharmacy STARs performance goals and the programs that drive cost of care savings are met.
Partners with sales, marketing and account management teams to develop strategic marketing plans to drive improved membership growth and retention and participates in their execution.
Ensures the Pharmacy organization is promoting the delivery of quality, cost-effective pharmacy services to health plan members, such as formulary development/management strategies, development of therapeutic and dosing guidelines, drug utilization review, disease management, physician profiling, rebate programs, and pharmacy network strategy and compliance.
Leads and participates on committees and develops relationships with key stakeholders.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmacy benefit management or health plan pharmacy services including
Prior management experience: or any combination of education and/or experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires an active unrestricted state license to practice as an RPh.

Annual Salary Range*: $159,520- $199,400
Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
