Sales Account Representative I:

Responsible for supporting the Account Manager II or Account Manager II Sr in the retention ABF CO. Local groups. May also support new sales team. Will support small group 2-99 ABF Plans. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducts meetings with group employees who have a choice of carriers and promote, sell, persuade and influence associates to enroll in our products.

  • Assists with benefit design issues and modifications with Operations and Membership Implementation staff in support of client needs.

  • Assists with the analysis of client needs and develops, designs and recommends or implements product improvements or additions to increase sales.

  • Researches reasons for client decisions regarding the company and competitor products.

  • Works with companies or clients to add additional products or services to the existing account (up sell).

  • Exempt duties listed above must represent the majority of time worked to qualify for this exempt job.

  • Acts on behalf of Account Manager to respond to client proposals and decision-makers during the negotiation and selection process.

  • Responsible for projects outside the department on matters of significance with the authority to represent the department.

  • Develops relationships with existing accounts, members and brokers and responds to inquiries.

  • Works with internal partners to report issues clients may experience and follow-up on progress and resolution.

Sales Account Representative III Consultant:

Responsible for supporting the Account Executive (any level) and/or Account Manager (any level) in the ABF CO Local groups. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Exhibits senior level sales competencies as defined by the business unit.

  • Conducts meetings with group employees who have a choice of carriers and promote, sell, persuade and influence associates to enroll in our products.

  • Advises clients on developing and designing specific benefit plans that will best suit the client's needs.

  • Assists with benefit design issues and modifications with Operations and Membership Implementation staff in support of client needs.

  • Assists with the analysis of client needs and develops, designs and recommends or implements product improvements or additions to increase sales.

  • Researches reasons for client decisions regarding the company and competitor products.

  • If the competitor product is more favorable, makes recommendations to change the company’s products or pricing.

  • Works with companies or clients to add additional products or services to the existing account (up sell).

  • Exempt duties listed above must represent the majority of time worked to qualify for this exempt job.

  • Acts on behalf of Account Executive or Account Manager to respond to client proposals regarding ABF products and decision-makers during the negotiation and selection process.

  • Responsible for projects outside the department on matters of significance with the authority to represent the department.

  • Develops relationships with existing accounts, members and brokers and responds to inquiries.

  • Trains lower level Account Management support staff. Identifies competitive situations within assigned accounts or group market, analyzes information, and develops proposals and execution plans to management.

  • Works with internal partners to report issues clients may experience and follow-up on progress and resolution.

    Requires a BA/BS; 3 years of related experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Sales license required where necessary.

Preferred: Experience acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a previous Anthem business area. Focus for the entire CO sales team will be with our digital advancements such as Sydney App. Possessing an interest and being technically savvy to represent all lines of business is this area is highly desired.

Required: This is not a work at home position. Candidate must be located in Colorado, and able to travel to the Denver Office location a minimum of 50% of the time. Minimum of 25% travel required.

Annual Salary Range*: $46,872 - $58,590 Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. * The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. Qualifications

Sales Account Representative I:

Requires a BA/BS; 1 year of related experience or an approved Sales internship; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Sales license required where necessary.

Sales Account Representative II:

Requires a BA/BS; 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Sales license required where necessary.

Sales Account Representative III:

Requires a BA/BS; 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Sales license required where necessary.
