  • The Director Reporting and Data Analysis plans, directs, and controls the resources and efforts of reporting and data analysis team to accomplish the company objectives through information management.

  • Obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) to support business unit information needs and strategic initiatives.

  • Provides leadership in motivating subordinates to accomplish reporting and data analysis goals and objectives.

  • Develops a strong team through training and effective organizational development practices.

  • Reports project status and progress to business unit senior management. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for assigned functional areas. Implements the policies, practices, and procedures of the company and business units supported.

  • Establishes relationships with business users both internal and external. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

  • Oversees entire reporting/analysis/consulting unit or all aspects of a centralized function.

  • Coordinates project management across department & divisional line.

  • Ability to communicate with customers about technical issues in non-technical terms.

  • Understands the business processes that the system supports.

Primary duties may include but not limited to:

  • Leads a team that completes diverse and complex projects and analytical studies supporting Cost of Care quantification and validation.

  • Works closely with internal business partners to help them understand the risks and impacts of medical policy decisions and other cost of care initiatives, as well as the interactions between Cost of Care results and trends and financial results.

  • Provides expert advice, analytic and consultative support to Medical Directors, Health Plans, Business Unit leaders and management on cost of care issues. Acts as a strategic partner to management.

  • Ensures team is measuring and validating Health Plan cost savings initiatives using consistent and established analytical methods and standards to ensure projected cost savings are realized and recommends modifications as applicable.

  • Presentation and Communication skills: Explain complex financial considerations to non-technical audiences.

  • Implementation/Execution: Good at organizing and managing multiple priorities and/or projects, with ability to pivot quickly and juggle tasks.

  • Flexible: Ability to provide initial feedback/reactions on the fly, and to interpret between financial considerations and clinical decisions/actions.

  • Problem Solving: Solve problems with the ability to encourage others in collaborative problem solving.



  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years experience leading project teams, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Knowledge of IM technologies, organizational structure, and customer information needs.

  • Prior leadership or management experience required.
