IT Quality Control Analyst Senior
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Leads and coordinates testing for small to medium initiatives within a system area.
Develops testing documentation (i.e., test cases, test scripts) and obtains approval of all relevant stakeholders.
Analyze and interprets user stories and technical specification documents.
Identifies, creates, and executes the appropriate test assets (plans, cases, scripts, and metrics) to assure the developed application conforms to design, and the acceptance criteria set for user stories.
Identifies and collects test data for test execution.
Defines appropriate testing methods to employ to assure developed product conforms to acceptance criteria set for user stories and design.
Identifies and documents appropriate test cases and scripts for the level and type of testing to be performed.
Executes linkage from test plan to test scenarios and test cases.
Coordinates and executes relevant functional and regression testing.
Coordinates, identifies, and executes test cases while reviewing defects towards assessing application quality.
Triages defects to determine severity, impact, and communicates effectively to the appropriate stakeholders towards resolution.
Identifies when test automation is appropriate while engaging in the scripting and execution of automated test cases using automation tools such as Selenium and Cucumber as required.
Reviews and approves all project-related test assets for completeness and quality.
Ensures all applicable SDLC and testing processes are followed.
Provides required testing leadership and oversight on assigned agile projects
Assists in the creation and the communication of all testing deliverables.
Manages communication and relationship across a diverse team of tester, developer, and Business in a very fast pace platform and environment
Manages testing risks and issues and proactively developing contingency plan as appropriate.
Full file validation and testing of change files and UI changes which impacts downstream systems.
May participate in the transition of software and systems into production.
Collects testing metrics, reports status as defined in test plan with supporting data.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested by the scrum team.
Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; minimum of 3-4 years of testing and product quality experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Demonstrated ability to perform and manage test execution activities in an agile scrum team setting in a fast-paced product application with multiple dependent systems is required.
Knowledge of healthcare systems and experience testing health care insurance products and systems is required.
Hands-on technical and back-end testing experience with a strong background in database and SQL concepts with experience developing and running complex SQL queries for data validation is required.
JSONS file validation testing experience and web services testing experience using SoapUI and Postman is required.
JUnit for automated unit testing experience is required.
Batch validation testing experience with UNIX and HBASE knowledge is required.
Experience using MongoDB Compass tool in visualizing and exploring data with adhoc queries.
Experience doing full file validation and testing change files and UI automation.
Test automation experience using automation testing tools like Selenium.
Strong knowledge of agile methodology and testing experience in agile environment.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to details, and excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
Experience using Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS SharePoint is an asset.
Quality Certification, such as CSTE, CSQA, CMST, and CSQE is an asset.
Agile Certification, such as SAFe Practitioner (SP), etc is an asset.
Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience is an asset.
