HealthCore Biostatistician, Senior (Clinical Research)
The Biostatistician, Senior is a senior statistician on a clinical research study serving as the statistical lead or Statistical Principal Investigator.
Preferred Locations - Watertown, MA, Wilmington, DE, Alexandria, VA, Indiana, Florida, California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Georgia
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Serves as the statistical subject matter expert in the development of new research study designs.
Serves on research studies as lead biostatistician/analyst and directs statistical activity on multiple research projects.
Leads the statistical design of clinical research studies, develops and oversees analysis and execution of statistical analysis plans, reviews design of data collection methods, performs analysis and quality control, interprets the analytic results and leads reporting of results.
Provides oversight of clinical research and integrated study designs using clinical and healthcare claims research using accepted statistical techniques.
Plans statistical programming activities and schedules to provide project team with guidance on data management and analysis timelines for projects.
Prepares and/or reviews detailed analytic specifications for study databases and analysis files, consistency checks, quality checks and result tables and figures; communicates requirements to the programming team as required.
Leads interpretation of analytic results and oversees and develops study-specific reports, including reports for the DSMB and FDA.
Co-authors publications, including manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed scientific journals, specifically the Statistical Method and Result sections.
Leads statistical analysis and makes recommendations to improve the company's business.
Serves as company's lead analytical expert.
Showcases analytical expertise to customers, prospects and develops strategy for a variety of research.
Requires a Masters degree in related field and 8-10 years experience in statistical modeling, data analysis and experimental design, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Health care and actuarial experience preferred. Experience working with databases, decision making tools, SQL, SAS and Excel.
